OUR STORY
In the summer of 2020, amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, a group of Ozark river enthusiasts met at Akers Ferry to organize the Ozark Riverways Foundation.
The Ozark Riverways Foundation
Is to work in cooperation with, and to support the Ozark National Scenic Riverways, a unit of the National Park Service. Foremost is the preservation and promotion of the Current and Jacks Fork rivers. Our goals are to deliver programs for scientific, historical, cultural, educational, ecological, recreational, agricultural and scenic opportunities. We are a “friends group” with the Ozark National Scenic Riverways. We will partner with the Ozark National Scenic Riverways in activities that may include fundraising, volunteerism, education, advocacy and research.
